June 17, 1899 — the first blast furnace is blown in, the birthday of the MMP
1900 — blast furnace № 2, three open-hearth furnaces, and two rolling mills were put into operation.
September 29, 1929 — the first in the USSR fully mechanized furnace (№ 4) was put into operation
June 2, 1933 — the first Soviet blooming mill was commissioned
April 12, 1936 — skelt mill “300” was commissioned
1939 — open-hearth shop № 2 was awarded with the “Sign of Honor” order
July 31, 1940 — rolling mill “250” was tested
October 10, 1941 — the plant was shut down and evacuated
September 1943 — liberation of Makeevka, beginning of the plant rebirnishment
July 21, 1944 — the largest in Donbas blast furnace № 2 was blown in
At July 1946 — blast furnace № 1 was blown in, December 31 — blooming mill was restored
1952—1953 — open-hearth furnaces № 8-11 were put into operation
1954 — mill “350-2” was put into operation
April 1956 — a new oxygen plant was built
1963 — wire rolling mill “250-2” was launched
February 2, 1966 — the plant was awarded the Order of Lenin
1985 — mill “330” was recognized as the best in the USSR
1986 — open-hearth furnace № 1 set a world record for steel smelting (634,000 tons)
July 1994 — rod mill “150” was built
2006 — construction of mill “390” was resumed
June 2009 — mill “390” issued the first products
2021 — The Makeev Metallurgical Plant passed under the management of UGMK.
2024 — the plant produced 1 million 47 thousand tons of products; the production of coil products (№ 8, № 10 and № 6) has been mastered

Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant

Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant is one of the largest iron and steel enterprises in Donbas and in the southern part of Russia. At the plant, the entire metallurgical production cycle is implemented: from coke production to metal rolling.

Enakievo Metallurgical Plant

Makeevkoks is one of the most efficient coke plants in Donbas. The plant consistently produces coke-chemical products, which are sold both inside YGMK and on the external market.
