1951 — the decision was taken to start construction of a new ferroalloy plant.
1959 –1962 — construction of a plant in the steppe near the stanitsa Almaznaya. More than 500 enterprises and organizations of the USSR (including 17 enterprises of Voroshilovgrad region) participated in construction of the plant.

March 31, 1962 — the first furnace is launched.

April 10, 1962 — initial release of ferrosilicon.

August 7, 1962 — the furnace № 4 is put into operation.

September 1962 — start of operation of furnaces № 5 and № 6.

November 1962 — furnaces № 7 and № 8 were put into operation.

1967 — the plant reached its estimated output: 196 thousand tons of ferrosilicon (at 45% silicon content). The plant’s products were used in 250 metallurgical and machine-building enterprises in the country.
March 5, 1970 — Almaznyansky Ferroalloy Plant was renamed Kadievsky Ferroalloy Plant. The first stage of reconstruction of all electric stoves was carried out by increasing their capacity from 16.5 to 21.0-22.5 MVA.
1972 — further reconstruction of the furnaces with simultaneous increase in capacity to 27 MVA and changing the geometric dimensions of the bath furnace.
August 15, 1979 — Kadievsky Ferroalloy Plant was renamed the State Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant named after the 60th anniversary of Great October.
1998 — the plant was privatized.
2003 — the operation of furnaces was suspended due to the increase in the price of electricity.
February 2004 — furnace № 1 is working again.
August 1, 2014 — in connection with the conduct of active combat operations on the territory of the LPR, the work of the “SFP” PJSC was stopped.
At the beginning of 2016 — an initiative group of employees of the plant held a meeting and decided on the need to restore the enterprise.
June 2018 — after a long downtime and general overhaul, electric arc furnace № 4 was started.
October 5, 2021 — Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant passed to the management of YUGMK.
2022 — after general overhaul was carried out, electric arc furnace № 3 was started.
2024 — after repair and refirbishment work, the work of the anode paste plant and the heat and power department were put into operation.
March 2025 — after 10 years of downtime and general overhaul, electric arc furnace № 6 has been started. The commissioning of furnace № 6 will provide 50% of the SFP’s estimated output and completely meet the needs of the enterprises of the UGMK Group in ferrosilicomanganese.
